Projects Funded In 2010

Providing Safety and Shelter For Orphans

A lot has happened in 2010, some of it unexpected, much of it planned...all of it helping orphans have a better life.

We were able to participate in sending almost $30,000 to Friends of the Orphans in Haiti and Haiti Outreach Mission. That was a miracle in that we participated in a community matching grant that allowed us to more than triple our donation. Others learned about the need and donated, their funds doubling by the match. It was a loaves and fishes event in that what we raised the year before was still in tact.

Subsequently, we raised funds in 2009 to help Nibakure Children's Village in Rwanda fund a fence around Phase One and we helped Halo Worldwide build a wall around the boys home in Uganda. These are two reputable organizations with whom we are proud to associate.

The video below is a bit of background on Halo Foundation. (Please excuse the ad in the video).

Opportunities Abound

This year was a great year for funding projects. In addition to Haiti, Rwanda and Uganda, we helped fund the flooring for the girls dormitory in at Janada L. Batchelor Foundation for Children, Inc., a girls orphanage and school in Tanzania. This group has been associated with us since we started in 2008.

Our primary project for 2011 is to help build an orphanage with Angel of Mercy USA in Cameroon West Africa. We will have a Spring Fever Charity Run and Raffle and a golf tournament this summer to serve as awareness building and of course fund raisers. You can help by being a sponsor or donor if you'd like.

We have other opportunites for you to assist in fund raising as well.

Unfortunately, the needs are never ending and children need your help.

We can't do it all, but we can all do something.

What's your something?
