Joy of Service

The Dream Lives STRONG: Just being there, with the seven travelers seemingly sent by God... meeting the orphans and their care givers was worth the 18 hours it took to arrive. Our hearts are forever bound together in the effort to build a home for the orphans of Angel of Mercy.

Here's a short slide show to enjoy.

Ayacucho Peru: My first Giving Trip was when I traveled to Peru in 2007 and as a result, I was stirred so deep I had to do more with my life. The trip was a catalyst for forming 200 Orphanages Worldwide.

Seeing the poverty and what organizations were doing to help the orphans, I knew I wanted to spend my time and talents doing what I could to help the orphan.

In July 2010 I took my first Giving Trip to Africa. One of our first projects we funded was a fence in Rwanda, and so that's where I traveled first. There were so many opportunities to learn and serve during my stay in Rwanda. I shadowed Floriane, executive director for NCV.

Catch the fire! If you take one step, unimaginable doors open for you to make a difference. You will never be the same.

NIBAKURE CHILDRENS VILLAGE: We helped fund a fence and a gate, while others helped fund the buildings, the furniture, the gazebo. Yet others came and worked and bought tools, took their time to help make the village a reality. Now Phase I is complete and orphans will call it their home soon.
