Serve alongside local medical professionals and orphanage staff in Dar Es Salaam Tanzania and deepen your vision to help the vulnerable in our world. Dr. Adili Seushi, physician and executive director with People's Hope Project in Tanzania will arrange morning and afternoon volunteer opportunities. We will be mostly working with the staff and with the 69 orphaned children at Chakuwama Orphanage in Sinza Dar es salaam. Assisting with basic day to day care will be part of the experience.

Also included are daily educational and cultural events, entertainment and a day trip to ZanZibar for debriefing.

UPDATE!

We've just arranged for an optional weekend trip to northern Tanzania to visit Janada L. Batchelor Foundation another project on our site. We hope to have volunteer opportunities there. This project is located near the Serengeti Wildlife Preserve and Director Chris Gates has offered onsite accommodations and to arrange flights for those wishing to participate. He will also take us on a tour in the Serengeti. This optional visit will cost an additional $400, for flights and accommodations.

Details and Tentative Intinerary

The Fee includes accommodations and airfare and travel to and from volunteer opportunities with Dr. Seushi and others. Also included are periodic cultural and educational experiences. Accommodations will include Internet and breakfast. You will have free time in evening and an optional day trip by ferry for lunch and debriefing in Zanzibar.

9 Day Trip: $3,250.00 (tax deductible)
14 Day Trip: $3,990.00 (tax deductible)

Breakfast: 8 a.m.
Volunteer Service:  9 a.m.-11:30
Lunch: 12-1 (Volunteer's Choice)
Volunteer Service: 1:30-3 p.m.
Cultural Experience:  4:p.m.-5 p.m.
Dinner: 6 p.m. (Volunteer’s choice)
Free time in evening

Lunch and dinner and any optional tours are not included in cost of Vision Trip. *Optional Weekend Trip To Serengeti National Park or Kilimanjaro arranged with local tour guides and priced competitively.

You will be required to sign a liability release form as well as complete the application and pay the nonrefundable $250 application fee to be eligible to travel with us.
